Diversity
People from the most diverse backgrounds come together in our Cluster of Excellence. This diversity is much more than just a social reality: We see it as an opportunity for innovative, internationally influential and excellent research. That is why we are constantly working on creating an environment in which individual differences are valued and everybody's potential can develop unhindered. To do so, we have set ourselves three goals:
Increase the proportion of female scientists at all career levels
Enable the compatibility of a career in science with family responsibilities
Combat prejudice, discrimination and sexual harassment
Against this background, we offer our researchers extensive measures and programs on the following topics
- Equity (including the Mildred Dresselhaus Program)
- Women's Lunch
- Compatibility
- Intercultural
- Mental Health
- LGBTQI*
- Exhibition: "What were you wearing?"
We welcome excellent scientists of all genders, nationalities, religions and sexual orientations.
