Who we are
Since 2012, scientific teams of diverse disciplines such as physics, chemistry, and molecular biology have been merging under the umbrella of The Hamburg Centre for Ultrafast Imaging (CUI). Following the first cluster funding period from 2012-2018, the cluster “CUI: Advanced Imaging of Matter” started in 2019 with the following structure:
Major investments in photon and nanosciences in the past 15 years have attracted some of the top groups worldwide to join the well-established research groups in Hamburg. The Cluster's groups are led by principal investigators, young investigators, associated researchers and international partners. The scientists working in the groups are supported by a further 170 team members.
