New short film series showcases "research for all"

An excursion into laboratories and sometimes to unexpected heights: In the new short film series "Research for All," scientists explain the concrete everyday references of excellence research at Universität Hamburg and what everyday life is like at various research institutions.
In the first episode, which is available in German and English, Dr. Lennart Sobirey from the Cluster of Excellence "CUI: Advanced Imaging of Matter" shows what the challenge is in research on superconductors. Lennart Sobirey conducts research at the Institute of Laser Physics in the group of Prof. Henning Moritz.
In the second part (German/English) Prof. Dr. Timo Weigand from the Cluster of Excellence "Quantum Universe" explains what string theory has to do with gravitational force and what Einstein has to do with the development of GPS. Text: UHH Newsroom, ed.
