Awards for Andrea Thorn, Mathias Fischer and Johannes Weidinger

A total of 41 teachers working at Hamburg's public universities were awarded. Among them Dr. Andrea Thorn (first row, 7th from left), Prof. Dr. Mathias Fischer (second row, 5th from right), Johannes Weidinger (back row, 3rd from left).

On July 7, the Hamburg Teaching Award for the years 2022 and 2023 was awarded. The award winners from the Faculty of Mathematics, Informatics and Natural Sciences for the past year were Prof. Dr. Mathias Fischer from the Department of Informatics and Johannes Weidinger from the Department of Earth System Sciences, who receive the prize money in equal shares. Dr. Andrea Thorn from the Department of Physics and the Cluster of Excellence "CUI: Advanced Imaging of Matter" received the Teaching Award for the year 2023.
