Imaging of Matter
NaNaX 2019
24 September 2019
From 16 to 20 September, the first NaNaX took place in Hamburg, focusing on current topics in the field of nanoparticles. For the ninth time, scientists from all over the world exchanged information on the latest research findings on nanocrystals and their applications.
The organizers of the conference, Prof. Wolfgang Parak (Center for Hybrid Nanostructures (CHyN)), Dr. Neus Feliu Torres (CHyN) and the scientists of the Cluster of Excellence "CUI: Advanced Imaging of Matter", Prof. Horst Weller and Prof. Alf Mews, agreed that the conference was a complete success.
"Among the speakers there were not only many top-class and prominent foreign speakers such as Prof. Paul Alivisatos, who is an international partner in the CUI Cluster of Excellence, but also the exchange between the lectures was very lively and fruitful," said Wolfgang Parak. During the conference, the three best posters were awarded a total poster prize of 1000 euros by the journal ACS Nano. "In addition, interested students had the opportunity to participate in the conference free of charge, which enabled them to receive credit points for their studies in nanosciences and chemistry," Parak continued. Another highlight was the home-cooked conference dinner in the form of a paella, which CUI spokesperson Horst Weller personally prepared
