University anniversary exhibition opened

Firmly anchored on the Bahrenfeld campus: laser beams at the Institute of Laser Physics.

Yesterday in the new university museum in the main building the exhibition "100! Geschichte und Gegenwart der Universität Hamburg" has been opened. In addition to a journey through 100 years of history, the exhibition also deals with special research results, campus life and art installations with scientific objects.

A walk-in city map, for example, shows how the university is anchored in Hamburg by means of some rather unusual locations. Laser beams at the Institute of Laser Physics - a photo taken as part of the Cluster of Excellence CUI - refer to research at the Bahrenfeld campus.
