Your career as a scientist is already fairly advanced. Now you are wondering how to take the next step – to prepare a habilitation, for example. The Academic Leadership Programme 2019 offers tailored support at this level; applications to the program are immediately possible. The Programme addresses advanced women scientists such as postdocs and postdocs in a group leader position and associate professors (Privatdozentinnen und Juniorprofessorinnen) of the Clusters of Excellence "CUI: Advanced Imaging of Matter" and "Quantum Universe", the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE), and the Faculty of Mathematics, Informatics and Natural Sciences of Universität Hamburg (MIN).
Although many young women study natural sciences, the number of female medical doctors and natural scientists declines dramatically from the postdoc-level upwards. In order to promote the career paths of women in academia and to prepare them for leadership roles, the equal opportunity teams of the participating partners joined to design this interdisciplinary training and networking program.
The program includes three modules plus a networking event:
- Vocal Power and Physical Presence (May)
- Science and Social Media (August)
- Using Language as a Tool (September)
- Blackbox Tenure-Application Procedures for Career Positions in Science (June)
For detailed information please view the flyer (pdf).
Registration until 15 May 2019
It is possible to attend the workshops individually, however, participation in all three modules is recommended.
